Firstly, I am not a professional baker, so please don’t be expecting beautifully polished creations. But baking is something I really enjoy. And with two little ones to look after, it is a bit of escapism, where I can spend an hour in the kitchen mixing various ingredients together to create some yummy treats.

Typically, I’ll come armed to meetings with a box of six cupcakes…

Although I have been known to take in traybakes (especially if I have a team of techies I need to butter up to help with some thought-leadership content!), cake loaves (like banana bread), and one time I made a swiss roll because it was the managing director’s favourite…

From baking with my boys, we’ve perfected flapjack, which you can have topped with chocolate, or complete with raisins…

Sometimes I theme my treats, like these festive macaroons…

Or these for cakes for Halloween…

My favourite cakes to bake (because I know the recipes off by heart!) are traditional vanilla…

Or a more indulgent chocolate…

Sometimes marbled with vanilla sponge for something a bit different…

Or these incredible lemon cupcakes…

I’m happy to make fruity cupcakes…

But NEVER ask me for a vegetable cake – how is that even a thing?!?!!

But whatever the cake, I promise it will always be made with love!

And if there’s something you really fancy, just ask!
