I leave this completely in your hands to determine what you feel most comfortable with. Some clients are happy to make an introduction so I can arrange to interview their client. Others prefer to facilitate that call while I take notes, or record their interview so I can listen back to it. And on occassion I’ll simply provide ‘suggested wording’ for their testimonial based on verbal feedback that’s been given previously.
In any case, I’ll ask for any project documentation you can provide to understand what you did and why. And I’ll ask you some questions to fill in any gaps and confirm the key messages you’re looking to push in the case study.
Once I’ve created a first draft and sent to you for review, I will incorporate your feedback. Once you’re happy, I can either liaise with your client for their approval, or leave that for you to manage in-house.
